Which is why when we decided to set up Crossword, we didn't
want to create just another bookshop, but rather a place where
people could actually experience the joy of reading. In fact
nothing gives us greater pleasure than seeing a customer deeply
immersed in a book, competely oblivious to the surroundings. Or a
young mother reading out to her little ones. It's moments like
these, that make us feel our efforts are at last meeting with
success.
The Book Rewards Programme was started in
1999. As the name suggests, the program offers rewards to
encourage people to read more - through exclusive events,
benefits, offers and discounts at all Crossword stores around the
country.
